For those not into country music, you may not be familiar with a Toby Keith song called American Soldier and its line, “…’cause freedom don’t come free.” You need only speak to our country’s servicemen and women to appreciate the truth in these lyrics and just how high the cost can be. This is why I am so proud of your efforts in support of our Built to Honor (B2H) program which allows us to give back to these brave men and women and their families. Adding to the 50 B2H homes we’ve already delivered, we’ve announced three new builds in 2018 with the potential for two more later this year. A U.S. Army veteran and his family received the news of a lifetime this Christmas. They were chosen to receive a brand-new mortgage-free home in Land O’Lakes, Florida, donated by PulteGroup through the company’s Built to Honor program in partnership with nonprofit Operation FINALLY HOME. Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Javier Torres was severely injured while deployed in Afghanistan in 2004.
