It was around this time last year that we purposefully recommitted ourselves to elevating PulteGroup’s work to promote a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. A place where everyone can bring their best selves to work every single day. I am so proud of the conversations we continue to have, the learning we continue to engage in and the work behind the scenes to continue creating the policies, training and expectations that hold all of us accountable to our shared vision.

As another step in our journey together, I am excited to announce the upcoming company-wide rollout of Business Resource Groups (BRGs).  Known by a variety of names, BRGs are voluntary, employee-led networks of individuals who share common characteristics, interests or passions. Open to everyone, BRGs help employees find communities where they can engage with others who have similar backgrounds or interests, provide and receive support and, ultimately, make new connections to help drive positive career and business outcomes.

Building on the great ideas and work initiated within Pulte Financial Services, all employees will now have an opportunity to join one of the three BRGs previously launched at PFS.  The following BRGs will be welcoming new members and allies from across the organization beginning in July 2021:

  • P.E.A.C.E.: People Embracing & Advocating for Cultural Equity: The mission of this group is to empower and create space for underrepresented minority groups where people of color can be heard, valued, and respected. Deb Still, Sharyn Torrisi-Cartwright and Manish Shrivastava will serve as executive advisors.
  • Happy Homes: This group’s mission is to create opportunities for us to give back to the communities we serve. Eric Hart and Todd Sheldon will serve as executive advisors.
  • Young Professionals: YoPros: The mission of YoPros is to build a community of young professionals motivated to grow their careers at PulteGroup. Leslie DeVera-Duncan and Brandon Jones will serve as executive advisors.

As demonstrated by Pulte Financial Services, BRGs are the most successful and impactful when they are founded by employees.  We are excited to open these three BRGs to all employees and look forward to new groups being launched in the future.  To learn more about BRGs, I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch the video from Deb Still and Sharyn Torrisi-Cartwright as they explain PulteGroup’s BRGs and how participation can benefit you and your career.
