Our North Florida division in Orlando participated in Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County’s Builders Blitz 2021. The team built a new Habitat home in just five days for a Habitat Orlando & Osceola homeowner.
The home is now proudly owned by Hannah, a first-time homeowner and first-generation American. She earned two college degrees, a job at the University of Central Florida as an academic service coordinator, and knew her next step was to become a homeowner. She was surprised to find she still couldn’t qualify for a home in the Central Florida market. But she was determined to make the American dream of homeownership a reality. Now with the help of Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s homeownership program and our North Florida team, her dream has come true.
She says the home is not just walls and roof over her head. “The house represents so much more. It’s hope — it’s a reward for the hard work you put in year after year. Not just me, but three generations worth of it.”
